HELP me please

  Im trying my best to do this knit thingie:) Socks that is!  But it frustrates me to no end:) I get so tense trying to knit. Pray for me I really want to give my mom the socks for Christmas but if not Ill do it for her birthday since her Bday is in Janurary:) Oh well just wanted you all to know Im in need of prayers.
