Crochet only group
Friends,
I vented today about not having a crochet only group in town. Im truely sorry if I have offended anyone for asking for it. I am open minded aboout knitting I myself am just not interested in it. So please dont feel badly its no ones fault if there is any fault to be had.
I must say that I did enjoy all the ladies that did come to the meetings. They were so sweet and kind. I know they enjoy there group and Im very happy for that.
Ok Im going back to my crocheting.....

There is nothing wrong with wanting to meet with a group of like-minded people.  This is why, along with 4 other great ladies, I started my own CGOA Chapter back in 2001.  Perhaps, once you are back on your feet you might want to consider starting your own too?  In the meantime, you might want to see if there are a bunch of Ravelers (ravelry.com) from your neck of the woods looking for the same thing?  If so, you can start an online group before taking it "into the real world."  I suggest posting on the CGOA ravelry board, and then search for people from your state with crochet interest.

At least it's something to think about, right?  :)

CGOA Chapter in Las Vegas formed 2006 - The Las Vegas Hookers.  There are visitors who stop by and lots of the people attending are both crocheters and knitters or they may only be knitters (the more the merrier).

Dee suggested a very good idea however...you may be able to find a group of just crocheters on Ravelry.  Good luck, Sheri.  :)

I don't think you are wrong to want a crochet-only group.  I know the basics of knitting but I don't care for it.  I'd prefer a crochet-only group myself and there are no groups in my area.

I find Dee's comment very encouraging though.  I didn't know that she started a group with only 4 others.

Love and hugs,
Sheila
